Headphone jack broke

Hey guys. Today my headphone jack broke. I dunno why. I plug headphones in it, but sound still plays out of my speakers.
I'm on a laptop, and my warranty has expired and I dont wanna pay like $100 to get it serviced.

(When I plug in my headphones, they go in like butter. Its so loose. Feels like theres nothing inside really.

Does anyone know another way I can plug my headphones in?

Do they make a USB male to 3.5mm female adapter?

If not, what are some cheap USB headphones?

Just open it, and replace it with another 3.5mm jack, you can get them at Radio Shack.

USB headset, hurr. Newer laptops are made of ten thousand and one screws. Why the extra one? That's the one you missed, so when you try to pull the case apart, it'll shatter into a million pieces.

Take a flashlight and look inside, it sounds like the pins are worn out. Maybe you can get in there with a pin or sewing needle and bend them back out.

I had a similar problem with my iPod nano: headphones wouldn't lock in all the way. It turns out a bunch of pocket lint found its way in there and was packed tight deep inside. Picking away at it with a toothpick solved the problem.

hmm. I could try that. But do any of you know of an adapter thats like USB to 3.5mm ?
