Ps3 Linux??

Hi.

i was wondering how difficult it is to install linux on a ps3 and what i would need to do it.

PS i bought the dvds on ebay a few days ago.

also does anyone know of a battery pack i can use to make this portable?

You cannot power a ps3 off a battery. Period.

For linux, I found this on wikipedia.

Would it work if there was a 12 volt battery, then jack it up to 110V with an inverter to power the PS3 with?

Its not impossible to not power a ps3 out of battery, but it would abe a huge ass and expensive oen

thanks. Any idea on what i need to install and run eg. flash drive
or would i be ok with just the dvds

i was gonna do a ps3p as a DT project at school. i dont want to overcomplicate the system though so i might just make a new case and fix a keyboard to it should get an A

It is very easy to install linux on the PS3. I mean, they give you the directions on the Sony website! It's not a "hack" or anything, just an optional installation.

Just remember to backup all your saved data from your PS3 before you start the installation. I missed that warning and had to download all my patches and demos, and the game saves are simply gone.
