I have just recently got my hands on a atari 2600 4 switch i believe it is called an Vader Atari. It is all black not like the wood grain. I took it apart i had found a red cylinder shape piece on the square i am suppose to cut out. Can i still use this?? Heres a pic from someone else.

Hooking a 4-switch up to a PSone screen hasn't been possible so far. The problem is that the 4-switch doesn't have a strong enough signal strength for the PSone to accept it. You'll save your self a lot of trouble just looking for a different screen.
If you want to try anyways, search the forums.

It's completely doable. Here's proof:

Just use this guide and you'll be fine. You might need to play around with the values a bit to get the best picture, but it works like a charm.

Thanks that will help one more question.
I am trying to build something compared to bens nestari except mine has 3. Can i just wire all 3 systems to one tact switch. I mean when he did his he used a shift resistor but i just want to know can i just wire each system to one switch? Lets say i want to use one switch for start can i hook up the start button from my atari and the other 2 systems ill just hook up a resitor to the other ones than to the tact switch.

What other systems are you putting in?
I am working on a 2600 with a PSOne screen. I came across Ben's new composite video mod that gives a cleaner signal that is listed on this site. It shows picture of type A and type B boards. My board is different than both. My board is the same as in Ben's book on page's 456 and 458. It is from a Vader with the 8 pin thingy. My board is similar to the type A board but I have different resistors set up than Ben describes in the new mod. Any one know what resistors I take out?

Just lost the sound. I thought I may have attached one of the wires up wrong. I moved the Y on the right side of the upside down board one lead down. Its around the C200 printed on the top of the board. It did not work so I switched it back. Now the sound is gone. I just get static. Did I kill the board?Atari Dogs wrote:What other systems are you putting in?

The sound comes out of the TIA chip so if you are still getting video then most likely the sound is still intact. TIA pin 12 and 13 are the two sound channels. Just hook up to them and see if you are still getting sound.
