Ti-Boy

I'm thinking about buying a super joy III or whatever it's called, and following the Game Grrl guide and making it inside of a ti-84 case. The Calc itself is broken. Does this sound like a cool idea to anyone else or is it just me?

Forever and a half ago, or just about. I'd say probably about 2 years ago. Don't get me wrong - I still think he should go for it.

Great Idea. TI-boy is already made though. It's a GBC in a ti-84. Call it Ti-N. I don't think I've seen the Noac in one but it sounds like a kick ass idea. go for it.

I think i might just do a gbc in there now. It sounds even more badass then a noac, plus i can improve on the other guys ideas. (I saw the site of the guy who did it.) Plus i think it would be ridiculously easy even for a noob like myself. I'll just post some stuff here when i get more planning done.

This should probably be moved to the portable section, b ut i'm not sure how or even if i'm able to move it at this point. I bought the gameboy color, and had the broken graphing calculator. I just need my dadc to get me a soldering iron now, so i can move/remove some parts on the mobo. I think i'm going to have the game cartridge slide in through a custom slot in the bottom of the calc when i do it. Oh and does anyone know how long the thing will run off of two triple a's?, because doubles are just too bulky, and i don't want to have to modify the back end of the case, other than the slot at the bottom.

Put 2 sets of 2 in parallel... it will be flatter

Does anyone know how long it will run off of two tiple a's, because at this point, the only thing keeping it from completion is my lack of a soldering iron, which i'm getting tommorow with my dad. I'm so excited to actually complete the thing. How sweet is pokemon during class gunna be? oh dang.....i gotta wait for school to start again. lol, i think i'll manage.

It will last about 60% less than what it does normally.

what you could do is 2 sets of 2 (wider but less bulky, and it would fit in the slots in the back) and achieve just a 10% loss

I feel like an idiot. I thought the catridge connector pins were indestructable apparently, and decided to bend them back because i thought the would be easier to solder that way. I feel so ashamed. Idk tho, it's my first time doing this kindof thing tho, so i don't feel that bad. I'm trading my friend this game programming book i have for one of the two gameboy colors he has, so tommorow, work will begin on Ti-boy v2. I will not fail. I feel like an idiot for messing up the first time tho. Whattid i think, they were bendy? Ehh.
