Internet explorer, OF DOOM!

Alright heres the deal. I might have a virus, so im a little worried, so i scan for adware and spyware, with ad-aware and spybot search and destroy, then AVG free, then i went to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ to do an online one, but they can only do it for IE users, so i thought alright ill get out IE and do it. But NOOOO we can't have that i get a java error whenever anything java realted happens, I was wondering if there was any way to just get rid of IE and reinstall it. Any help?

There is a plugin though for Netscape/Mozilla.

yeah go to add remove programs and uninstall Internet Explorer
Go on the Microsoft site and downlod the installer. Then double click

AVG free isn't that good, if you want really good virus protection, get Norton AntiVirus 2005 Edition, I know that isn't to do with this, but its a good idea.

Sigh, unless you want to shell out some cash for me, I dont have enough to buy it. I would maybe download it, but thats another story.

And i dont use ie i use firefox. Btw where could i get that plugin you were talking about.

when you get to the site you need something from, there is usually a thing below where your favorite places toolbar that says that firefox needs certain plugins to view this page. Click that, and it should take it from there

I use I.E, i find it better than firefox for me, maybe its to do with ease of use... or just using internet explorer for so long...

The new IE I've heard is a rip off of Firefox. I personally dropped IE, if I could I wouldnt use it at all but a program for school will only connnect to the internet throug IE.
