Axion dvd player screen

i have a axion dvd player and it has a 8d02c chip made by 8-digital http://fckuo.myweb.hinet.net/Product.htm it has a 8 pin connector from the dvd player to the screens main board in this order 9vdc 9vdc ground Y C ground WIDE and CON i was just going to use it as a s video connection since it has the wires already but what im not sure about is the CON wire i think its contrast and itchanges when a certain amout of voltage is applied so a varible resistor could work maybe or if anyone has a better idea?

I have axion screens too. I am not working on a portable game screen, but I am trying to use the screens for a non standard purpose. I am trying to feed their 8-pin dins with my own source.

The "9vdc 9vdc ground Y C ground WIDE and CON" that you mention, do those describe the 8 pin din connector itself, or are you talking about a connector on the main board.

I have been searching like mad for a pinout for their 8 pin dins for ages. That search brought me here to your posting.
