black -> white screen

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

i know i have seen this problem before on the boards but cant find it after searching for it, my screen starts off black then after like 10 seconds it goes to white. Any help would be nice

Right now i have my portable hooked up to a power supply so my batteries arent the problem.

I also have my snes grounded to the middle hole were the 7805 use to be, this is grounded to the board on the little metal rectangle shown in http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,2 ... 357,00.asp

Simple - this means your screen isn't getting a signal - check your composite video (or RGB lines if using instead) and ground is connected.

well, i realized i had my ground mixed up.

BUT now it playes for like 10 seconds and goes white.

i am reading about 8 volts b4 the screen goes white then drops down to 5 or less

IT WORKS, it was my stupid power supply i built in school, it would slowly drop in voltage for some reason, hooked it up to a different one and good as new
