I feel inclined to build one now, just because it works and its awesome just for a trunk.

(Wonder how much it'd go for on ebay as a trunk and working controller...)

emeraldz - The coffee table would be very heavy, I doubt anyone would e-bay it! I thought someone might make some comment about a female playing on it, however this pic shows the size of the table in proportion.

project_failure - Technically, yes, however it keeps the "gaming theme" in a room.

I told my wife about it, as we have just redesigned a room into a reading/gaming room; she was totally against me making such a table

I was considering making a SNES one!

...so do it. There is no reason people shouldn't make one, they have a place on this forum I think as they are console related - making a massive controller has merit!

I seem to have been misunderstood. When I said:

I never meant to imply that it didn't belong here on the forum. I jokingly referred to the fact that the focus of the this site is making things smaller.
I felt it ironic. I find this to be a good find and yes does fit, under the fact that it is a gaming mod.

Sweet as! I'd be really careful with drinks on it if I had one though, one stray spillage could lead to a dead NES coffee table controller

Thats why he made a removable glass top for it.

Also, This thing is cool. If i had the Time and a NES. I would try to make this thing. On the other hand, I do have Sega Genesis controllers and a Sega Genesis. But I need to get the G-MOTE done before I even think about taking on such a project like that.
