I was wondering if you could make a rom (for your own personal use) by some how usiing a gc gb player and some how hook that up to your comp than you might have a gb rom but this is just an idea so don't try it

Unless you have really good equipment in your house you can't make a ROM cheap. I think you mean PROM EPROM or EEPROM

there are devises to do that and you can make a gba cable to do it that connect directley to gba and computer (youd be better off buying one they dont cost that much)

noboady has come up with software that uses the gb player to rip it (as far as I know) but it can be done yes but you most likeley wont be able to figure it out

I think he means to copy the cart to his computer.
I knew someone who was trying to make somthing like it but he was going to read it off a gba connected to the gc with the link cable.
He didn't know enough about the gba side of things to finish the dol file.

Just intercept communication between the gba cart and the gba cpu. Interface the specific address and datalines with a parallel i/o chip and then program all the needed code.

OH I thought they wanted to make a Rom that would be the base of a link cable between a comp and a gb

yeah, um, I was just going with the flow. I think it's becoming that way because of how Ben spelled it in the description
