i don't know if this has been asked before so please don't be mad
ok so you know how the game boy advance sp has a rechargeable pack and a screen could that be taken apart and would u be able to incorporate it into the L64?
i want to do this because i have no money to spare because i want to get drums, and my own computer because my brother is moving out and i want an itouch so i can get the internet on the go.
so i need something easy to obtain but at low cost.
thank you very much for your responses

You can't use just the GBA screen because it's specially made for that unit and doesn't know what to do with analog video signals (what basically everything you can hook up to a TV outputs). You would either have to find one of those GBA video input cartridges (I believe some project on Portables of Doom had one) or make up a controller board for it.
You can't really use the battery either. It's not powerful at all, less powerful than a pair of AAs.
Yes, the N64 is a difficult project, even if you don't relocate the cartridge slot. Why? They commit suicide if you do so much as look at them wrong. Even Ben won't touch them just for this reason.
For batteries, NiMh RC car battery packs are typically used. Lithium batteries hold more for the weight, but liuthium is rather volatile when exposed to oxygen and they need special monitoring boards to keep them within safe operating parameters. (Just search for "lithium battery explosion" on YouTube.)
As far as screens go, any small screen designed to take video inputs should work. Just check the product description page for "NTSC" or "PAL", depending on where you live.

N64 modding isn't that hard, just a little more involving.
did u make a thread when u made your portable n64 ?
if so do you still know the link?
