How much room is actually in a GBO?

Well, if you read my topic, it will also function as a fully working GBO. So its multi functional.

In that case, I see no harm in this, no point either, but I don't see the point to most of the mods here (or anywhere really) and they still often make me say "Damn, that is freakin' awesome".

Apparently it will still be a complete GBO, which is nice. But the guts are to be cherished, not destroyed or modified. They're from a time when quality ruled over size.

And no, there's a sensor bar with an extra-long cord on the end that hooks into the Wii for blah blah blah it's been explained, look up.

And I don't think this really harms the GBO that much, if it can still run then no harm no foul.

Is that to me, saying they make them with extra long cords? or was it to bubbles? Because even if they had a 30ft cord one, it would be a semi-stretch to make it fit, and then I would have to wrap it up each time I'm done.

actually, it made the letters like that on its own.. Its not even in the code..

I'm going to need to find a few GBO's first, and get all the supplies I need. Depending on how long it takes me, we are looking around $20-$30 with me supplying everything.

I think this is a good opportunity to put my LED-boy on display:

I fit big LEDs into it (5 mil) and use excessive amounts of wires. It's a bit tight, but it works. One problem for you is that for a sensorbar you want the IR LEDs to be as far apart possible. And as it happens, the top and bottom are the most crowded places in the DMG. If they are surface mount LED's, you'll probbly have an easier time fitting them in there. The main pocket of space in a DMG is the in the bottom right, below the speaker. The othe natural spot would be the upper right, where you can probably fit a LED with some trouble.
However, I sort of doubt that the LED's are far enough apart from each other.

Well, I'll do some testing with my sensor bars that I have now (this is half the reason why I made 2 seperate LED packages. So I can space then at any distances) But im pretty sure you can run then quiet close to each other.

But anyways, the GBO is one of my favorite systems, I'd rather play it over a GBC anyday (it was my first system and I am very prone to nostalgia), and I kinda agree with Kurt on this, but whatever, it's your GBO, it's not like there's a shortage or anything (I would be so sad if there was, I should buy like 10 right now in case that ever happens, I won't live life without one).

I guess I don't much get the point of this, is it supposed to replace the Wiimote?

If it can still play Game Boy games then there's no harm, but if it can't, then well, there's still no harm.

It works with the wiimote. the sensor bar is basically just two infrared lights being emitted that the wiimote reads and triangulates its position based on the angles the infrared lights come in at.
