Game gear games on other systems?

I was wondering if it is possible to play game gear games on a Playstation 2 or Genesis or another device besides the PC and the GG itself? I heard about the Playpal, and that it is possible to play Genesis games on the PS2.

I'm just really sick of him saying everything is possible on every single thread and not really contributing anything. It was my way of making him actually contribute.

as far as I know its not possible to play GG games on Genesis, only master system, which is very similar only fewer colors and a few other small differences. MAYBE if you were a SuPAr 1337 HaXOrZ you could somehow modify the master system converter to work with game gear games, but I've never heard of anything of that sort being attempted (probably because its pretty pointless). You can for sure emulate the Sonic GG games via the Sonic Mega Collection on PS2 though, I don't know if there are any homebrew emulators for it though since master system/game gear isn't a very popular platform with most of the mainstream. Most of the best GG games were inferior ports of Genesis games, it was awesome at the time, but pointless to play when you can play the Genesis version just as easily. Is there any reason in particular you are trying to play GG games on a genesis or PS2?
