RGB/Composite adapter for PSOne LCD Screen

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

RGB/Composite adapter for PSOne LCD Screen

Post by hdx »

Hello.
It's little project from me. It's still unifinished but it provides to use. You can connect all stuff by SCART or RCA. It accepts RGB signal. Composite feature doesn't work for now but I'm on the right way to make it working. Another disadvantage is need to use 5V power supply to wake up screen. I put miniUSB socket to power it from small USB power supply.

Take a look at pics:

On the other side there is composite input.

A lot of cables :/ Little spaghetti here.

Beach Volley Heroes on PSX. I like this game very much.

It's good way for me because PSOne screen is very expensive in my country. I consider buying a Zenith screen. It's cheap and good as original PSOne LCD.
