My backlighting solution, IS THIS IT!? EL Glow panels!?!?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

My backlighting solution, IS THIS IT!? EL Glow panels!?!?

So I saw this on e-bay when I randomly searched for "back light panel".

LONG E-BAY LINK

So do these things need a lot of power, could a small one like that run off 2AA batteries?

My main goal is
-Back lit GBA that uses original battery's and minimal case modding.

So do you think this would work, it is REALLY cheap! It even says you can cut it on the persons website.

PLEASE TELL ME THIS DOESN'T USE 12 VOLTS OF POWER!
2" x 2" Electroluminescent EL glow panel not includes a 12volts inverter. White illumination on and pink when off (other colors available). No heat. You can cut it in many ways. Flexible. Also it have the wires attached so you don't need to solder it. I have more pictures just contact me.

Inverter sold separately.
EDIT: Actually it is not big enough, need at least
"40.8 mm x 61.2 mm"
or
"1.6in. x 2.4in."

I think the GBA screen is like the old GBC screen. That is, if you backlight it you can't see the picture. The Afterburner kit is actually a frontlight, like the screen from the original GBA SP. (I believe the later, "brighter" versions use DS screens.)

And yes that's a 12v panel.
