psp hooking up to tv

I bought one of those 4 sloted plugins for the psp slim. I plug it in but it shows up black & White and screen's split into 2. Whats wrong?

Is it possibly on PAL instead of NTSC?

nope. All the stuff TV, PSP, and cords are NTSC.

From what you have posted before, I gather that you have I psp phat which means you can't do this just by buying the slim cable. If not I'm sorry and hope you find a way soon.

@ thehackerinside: Nope I got a psp slim. I got the sliver one that came in the daxter pack.

it's interlaced vs. progressive scan. i know, i had the exact same problem. my SDTV actually couldn't display it, even though it had compnent inputs. however, it always works with HDTVs. there is a setting in the Display Output part of the settings menu that will let you switch between Inter. and Prog. try that.

Finally someone posts!!! That might be it considering my TVs are either $40 Tv or 7 years old. I'm going to get an HD soon so hopefully that will fix the problem. Since I got playstation 1 games on it it'd be sweet to play it on the full screen.
