No color from NOAC

I'm building an NES/SNES combo out of a retro-duo, and the NES side won't broadcast in color, only black adn white. Any ideas as to what could cause that>?

i know that, but nobody's got any ideas in SNES, plus the problem is specific to the NOAC, so i figured that makes 2 reason to post it here.

Are the signals the same for sure (i.e., NTSC on an NTSC screen)? I'm not too sure, but I think if you put an NTSC signal into a PAL screen (or the reverse... one of them), you just get black and white.

Keep in mind, that's just an out there guess, and I know there's every chance I could be wrong.
