Damage Count?

Post by Kurt_ »

A friend of mine just had his car vandalized.

A can of shaving cream (must have been frozen or something beforehand) was put into his exhaust pipe, and the end was sealed tightly.

How much damage could have been caused?

As Mythbusters has shown, there isn't that much inside a can of shaving cream, only a few times the volume of the can. So I wouldn't think that it got any more than a couple feet into the pipe. It would probably be best to take the exhaust pipe off and cleaned out the shaving cream, it might be corrosive, or it could react to the heat/exhaust gases and become corrosive.

Well if it was sealed tightly enough all the pressure would build up and the shaving can could become a rocket.

No, I made this up. Truth is, I plan on vandalizing an old teacher's car. He stepped over the line this time, and since I'm not in school anymore, I can get away with it.

I'm looking for something I can pull off in under 30 seconds that would cause expensive or permanent damage to his vehicle without attracting a crowd.

Industrial-strength foam sounds cool, but I don't think I could freeze it.

That's ridiculous. If you have the mental capacity, try to put yourself in his shoes. How would you feel if something of yours got badly damaged or destroyed?
You'd be a real fool, and a real loser if you did this. The fact that you're out of highschool and still think to do such things only means you should be back in middle school.

Perhaps. None the less, all through high school I was stuck with him, and he's been nothing but an poop egress to me. Recently, he invited me on a school trip to Wonderland. At least 10 people were dying to have me come along after they heard the news. I hand in my money, and he tells the class that someone should tell me that I'm not allowed to go anymore.

That's just the most recent thing. He's done plenty to deserve this.

Anyways, ideas from the more accepting lot of you?

Man, if I knew you in RL, I'd totally rat you out. There's nothing right or funny about vandalism and destroying another's property. Seriously, people like you make me sick.

Violence and anger beget nothing but harsher violence and anger. Doing this will only piss him off more. Even if he was a genuine dick, you're simply giving him more fuel to be a bigger ass to the next kid. Its selfish of you to do such things, because now someone else has to suffer more.

I have a better idea.

Leave a anonymous note that says someone is going to do it, but never do it. He will be so paranoid about it that he will always be looking over his shoulder.

Once again, maybe you're right.

But as far as I see, he only treats me like dirt, everyone else loves him.

Nobody will suffer except him, because he lives alone with 25 cats. The worst that would happen is people have to hear about his experience.

Bull puckey. What if someone's standing behind his car when it happens? What if some chance reaction blows the whole vehicle sky-high in a crowded parking lot? What if it scares him so bad he has a heart attack and runs someone over?

I hate my boss with every fibre of my being. Am I going to go do some stupid sh** like that? NO! Grow up and get over the past. You're just headed for trouble if you don't learn to do that.

whatever happened to respecting your elders?

Stuffing something in the muffler won't do much. Engines create a bunch of compression so its just going to shoot it out without much damage.

Anyways if you want to do damage to his car, pour bleach in the gas tank. It will break up the gasoline and rust the tank. When he starts the car the car will either stop running due to rust blocking the fuel filter or the bleach messing up the fuel pump or just the fact that the gas is tainted with bleach. It could cause some nasty backfires if he runs a carburetor.

For something less destructive you can remove the caps from his tires and place a small pebble in the cap and screw it back down.

I by no means say you should vandalize this guys car but sticking something in the muffler isn't going to do anything :P

edit// Worst thing that can happen is that since he has to repair his car all his cats go hungry because he can't feed them and they go on a rampage killing everything in sight.

Yeah, on second thought I might go for a less backfire-killing-bystander thing, like painting pretty words on his car.

Well, when you're caught anyway, and given a night's stay at the big house, tell Jerry the Pounder I said "hello".
