I could use some help finding some LED's to use.
Needs too:

-Be flat on ALL sides.
-Super thin

You could sand 3mm LEDs to have four flat sides. You could have 10 run from 2 AAs if you wire them in parallel (~3V LEDs). Radioshack sells packages of assorted LEDs for like $5.00 that have 20 misc LEDs (different sizes, shapes, colors) and they have some flat rectangular ones, but you have to look in the packages and find a pack with the ones you want. They are pretty thin; I would guess about 1mm thick, maybe just a little thicker. Or you could just shop around online, but most places to buy LEDs online make you buy them in bulk (50 or 100+).

YOU CAN SAND A LED!?
Well anyway, I am going to wait for a reply from this place.
http://www.lumitex.com/lcd_backlighting.html
e-mailed them =D
It says
"Very Low Startup Costs - Minimal Engineering charge and usually no tooling. Low prototyping cost with no minimums."
So maybe it is cheap enough I could do it, and it has no minimums! Is it "no minimum order" or "no minimum prototype order" though?
