Router/computer are being weired.

So when I unplug my router, for whatever reason to restart it, then plug it back in this happens.

My computer does this?

Then this appears when I click close.

WHAT THE HECK!?

When I unplug the CABLE from the router to my computer this does not happen, but when I restart the router it does!?

I did virus scans and all that. What now?

Didn't you say your computer was getting the BSOD not too long ago? Maybe you messed something up along the line.

You could try updating the firmware on your router, but in my opinion, it seems like some of your windows files might have been corrupted.

No I said I never got a BSOD before lol.

I dunno how to update the firmware on a router WTF?

Sounds like some software on your PC doesn't like getting a new DHCP or DNS assigned to your PC.

Have you scanned your system for malware recently? Those are often times badly designed and will crash if something prevents them from calling home.

What other programs are running (IM clients, third-party firewalls are of particular interest)?

I used to get these messages all the time. I downloaded AVG virus protection and did a scan, and that cleared it right up.

Hint: To abort the one minute shutdown, click START, and then RUN. Type in shutdown -a and it will abort.

You may have the Blaster Worm. As Tibia said, using AVG cleared it up.

I have a good AV Program (Zone Alarm) so I figure if it was a worm it would of caught it in one of my weekly scans/updates.

Is there a special program that will search for worms that do this?

Zone Alarm is a Firewall.

Firewall =/= Antivirus
