BECAUSE OF YOU PEOPLE! I get scheduled to work till freaking 3:00AM! WTF IS THAT! I DON'T EVEN HAVE A CAR HOW DO THEY EXPECT ME TO GET HOME WTF! Not all bad, I can sneak in and watch the movie because the managers just sit upstairs in their office after the doors are locked. But how am I going to get a ride home!

There is apparently another Hulk movie coming out WTF?

Anyways, yes, it is stealing, but I am actually HELPING the future of movies. If people stop paying the big-wigs who make all these crap movies exactly the same as all the other ones, they're stop making them. Thus, a bad movie I will not pay for. Paying for the good ones (Ironman, THe Matrix) encourages them to put some god-damn thought into their next movie, to boost ratings, because that's all most of them care about.

About the people who do care. The Wachowski brothers have this new movie coming out, for those who don't know, with an entirely 100% fake digital world. Only the actors are real. It looks like a cheesy japanese-type plot, but it looks like something worth paying to see.

Ben summed up my thoughts perfectly. The whole concept of Ironman is that he is NORMAL. He is an AVERAGE PERSON, just like us. Using his brains and his hands-on skills, he makes a brain-hand.
But seriously, using skills all of us nerds possess to some degree, he is able to achieve super-human, GTA-with-all-cheats-on kind of power. He can shoot lasers, fly, survive a 2 mile fall onto concrete and a piano, destroy a tank, throw a tank, throw two tanks, outrun a jet, etc, etc etc.

It's the very concept that got me excited. Which I why I want to share this next thing with you.

It's called the XOS. It was in popular science. It's an Exoskeleton that gets about 30 minutes of battery life and enables a wearer to lift a good 200-300 pounds effortlessly.

Stealing is stealing. Just because you have a reason doesn't make it right. If you don't want the company to get money from the movie because it's bad, why do you even want to see it to begin with? I won't pay to see bad movies and have no desire to steal to see them. If you want to see a movie in theaters, it should be worth paying for.

I agree Hollywood makes mostly s**t, but Iron Man is supposed to be pretty good, so it's important those kinds of movies are supported. If you're gonna boycott anything, boycott the endless sequels and franchise spin-offs.

Usually movies that suck and/or are unoriginal or derivative bomb at the box office, internet piracy or not, though that doesn't stop Hollywood from making them. Whenever they release the latest movie about "cyber internet crime" with Sandra Bullock or anything with Jessica Alba fully clothed, people "just say no". In the end it's the story and concept that sell.

Most movies that make a TON of money are at least decent, though it seems with enough marketing some stinkers get through (Grinch, Pirates 2 and Star Wars Ep 1 come to mind)

Speaking of crappy movies and Jessica Alba, is it just me or does "The Love Guru" look like about the biggest piles ever? Also "Speed Racer" will probably bomb out big time.

Unfortunately, it probably won't. There are too many people with little kids that think it looks cool and the parents won't have the backbone to say "no". I really hope it does bomb, though.
I kinda think Indiana Jones deserves to bomb, just to show that no one cares about crappy sequels and it gets kinda annoying to see Shia LaBeouf in every new movie.

I liked it, for some reason theaters were showing it at 8? me and some friends saw it at, it was my favorite superhero movie. I definitly liked it better than spiderman

Did you stay after the credits! I was cleaning up after people and there is a nice little scene after the credits, much worth it.

I saw ironman last night, after work. It is one of my favourite movies, possibly the most favourite. It's right up there with The Matrix.

Seriously, it is SUCH a good movie. 9.49/10. -0.01% because of the poor use of a soldering iron for a genius inventor, and -0.5% because of the miniaturized arc reactor. First for existing, second for being built in a cave but not being able to be replicated in a high-tech lab, third for being required to keep him alive.

I can't remember the last time I was so excited for a movie and not let down one bit. This is a MUST see for all nerds out there, and normies alike.

1) The plot is entirely plausible.
2) The technology is entirely plausible (See arc reactor note, though)
3) Plenty of explosions
4) Ironman fight scenes that send you reeling back in your seat because you can feel the pain.
5) Witty, funny, rich, famous main character. Semi-spoiler: (The only one to admit he's the superhero he is)
6) IRONMAN. Enough said, it's been discussed. The fact that he is entirely normal and all of his superpowers are a function of a suit he built.

In short:

GO SEE IT. I plan on seeing it again in theatres, at least until it's available for download.

Scene at the end, for those who missed it: (I didn't catch on, but I'll try my best to explain.)

Stark goes home to find a stranger in the shadows in his living room. He talks about how he's been keeping an eye on stark and wishes to invite him to join him. He steps out of the shadows, and it's Samuel L. Jackson playing his character from "The Avengers", dressed in a leather jacket and wearing an eyepatch.
