how can i clean a NES cart so it would work?

ahh... plagiarism strikes again...

What you'll need
1.Q-Tips
2.Windex or a solution of 50% isopropyl alcohol, 50% water

What to do
To clean a cartridge:
1.Dip a Q-Tip in the cleaning solution and rub firmly across the metal
contacts on the dirty cartridge. Repeat until the Q-Tip comes out
clean.
2.Use a dry Q-Tip to wipe off the excess solution.
3.Once the game is dry, plug it in to test it. You may want to remove
and reinsert the game a couple times more to make sure the
contacts are completely clean.

I just use a qtip and moisin it a little it works fine and there is a lot less chance of wareing off the gold plateing over the pins

do step 1 and 2 of above sept with water instead of solution

edit: flips over cartrige and reads
Caution do not clean with benzene, thinner, alcohol, or outher such solvents

btw ammonia D is the active ingredient in windex and its a solvent also

i tried to clean mario 3 but it still blinks

what does Castlevania 3 do on the NOAC thing

Castlevania 3 worked fine for me when I tested it with my converter and NOAC.

I believe your refuring to the lockout chip only real neses have one donâ€™t worry about it (its ez to disable btw)

nes cartridges have a "key" chip those are skipped on adapter cause a real Famicom dose not have one

as far as I know there is no additional security in any nes cart cause that was more just to make companies that made games for the system to have to buy the chip from them

uhhh no i do not like i said before i was modifying a NOAC to replace my broken NES.

find a nes to test it on if it dont work its ether not clean or broke

if it dose work its your clone and there is likeley nothing you can do about it < in my opinoin probubley the problem

so what is wrong with your nes?

my nes just gave up it would not read or turn on so i have it sitting in my computer desk so if i build a NESp from my Famiclones i have parts like controller ports

did you check the fuses or outher replaceable things in there to see if they are burnt out it most likeley would not be super hard to repair

the controller ports are gone and the power cord is missing so i cant mess with it
i mean some games that didnt work on my NES work on the famiclone
did ben have this problem with a game where the screen justs blinks on and off and wont start
