Make sure there is nothing on the reverse of the board you are cutting through (move cutting line appropriately if you are), else:

thanks, that realy helps, but once it cuts I just solder straight on the controller MOBO, that just sounds dangerous, im not questioning your knowledge bacteria, Im just questinog my understating of your diagram

Yes, you solder directly to the mobo. See those copper spots where bacteria put the colored lines? Those are excellent spots to solder to, but you would still need to find another spot on the other piece for each button.

It is not "dangerous" it is standard modding. I do it all the time, as do many other people on this forum. Bread and butter stuff.

You need to use some flux to let the solder attach to the thin traces.

I find a good method is to use a circular sander attachment on a dremel to remove the green from the solder traces and leave the copper traces you need to solder too. Just sand it lightly!!
