Region Free 50/60Hz on Super Famicom Jr

I've looked around in the boards a bit but I haven't found a topic explaining what I'm about to ask so here it goes:

Is there a way to 50/60Hz mod and lockout mod a Super Famicom Jr? I've been looking for a tutorial on the net but I haven't found one. I didn't find any info that it can't be done either, so that's why I'm posting the question here.

And please, if you don't know, don't reply with "I've heard that someone, somewhere did it but I don't have any links or info". I've seen it in other topics and I'm looking for answers that can be of some help.

I think the SNES 2/SNES mini uses the same hardware, Maybe you can find info about disbling the lockout chip for the SNES 2. If I remember well, it should be easier than the original SNES.

I'll poke around looking for some info on SNES 2 / Mini. Meanwhile, if anyone out there had some experience modding Super Famicom Jr, don't be shy and speak up.

You are referring to the 1-chip snes versions right guys? if you are I ran across this:

It documents adding a 50/60hz switch to a PAL 1 chip SNES, but the procedure ought to be the same since the PAL/NTSC mode is the same pin on both boards (pin 111) and you have to add a second crystal to the unit.

I can attest that it works, however on my PAL system when booted in NTSC mode on my TV (also NTSC) i get a black and white picture, but all games boot fine even the region locked out ones. I get full color in pal mode... Don't know why that is (edit: console may be outputting signal in pal60 this would explain the color loss. any ideas how to remedy this to output true ntsc?). perhaps I need to use a larger gauge wire for pin 111, or maybe I need to add a capacitor to the board somewhere, I'd need to see a photo of the top and bottom of a snes 2 or super famicom jr mobo to find out.
