Kit problems

Post by aliluc »

Do the kits for making portable consoles include EVERYTHING in them? (Console, cables, EVERYTHING for making the whole portable console?)

Because I am saving money for the book and the ps one portable CNC built kit.

:D :D

I'm surprised a mod didn't get here yet.

Ugh... Lets see:

1. The forums arn't fast enough for your topic to get lost.. Don't bump them.
2. I do not think ben gives out the consoles with the kits (I think he stated that)
3. You can email him and ask him for some custom stuff if you would like.

1. Don't bump threads before 24 hours after the last post. You waited all of 12 minutes.

2. No, the electronics are not included with the kits. Not only are the kits priced substantially lower than the price of a completed portable (it will cost at least a couple hundred dollars in the end), but if you just read the page, the following passages jump out at you:
Select which system you’d like to get CNC parts for
[...]

For the rest of the electronics parts and links to locate then please see the Locate Parts Online section.

You want to build a PSone portable? Well, you should allow for a $300 parts budget, which will give you a safe buffer in case you screw anything up. (This includes the price of the kit, plus an estimate on batteries, a screen, and a PSone.)
