Video hookup?
I know this may be a dumb question but is it possible to hook up a game system such as the N64 to multiple outputs? As in to two TVs at once using a Y splitter? I don't want to fry anything in case the system can't handle it.
Do you think it would do weird things like have part of the signal on each? I just heard that if a system is not meant to putout a lot it could damage both the system and the tv. What I really want to do is make a portable N64 that has both an LCD screen and TV out that can show up at the same time.

Sorry to double post, but I found the portable. It's one of Ben's.
Here's his "making of" page.
I hope that helps!

Most likely what would happen if you used a Y-slip on the video output is you'd have a weak signal. Not to say that you'd have some stuff on one screen and not the other, but to say that you'd have snow or static in the picture.
What your talking about doing is cutting the power of the signal in half. It's like adding a power strip to a wall socket, you can run more stuff, but you could exceed the wall socket's power output and so the overall power that the devices get wont be enough... and then you get a brown out.
But, really I don't see it hurting the system or tv. The tvs are just taking an input, nothing more. The N64 is just outputting a signal. So long as you don't cross ground and power or cause a short you shouldn't have any big issues.
