My SNES was working perfectly fine before I took it apart. First I took the top case off, then tested the SNES to see if it still worked, and it did. Then I took the metal thing off that goes between the cart slot and the controllers and tested the SNES again to see if it worked, and it did. Then I took off the metal thing between the back of the SNES and the cart slot, and tested the SNES and it didn't work - I didn't get any power light turn on.
However I did some quick research and learned that the most common problem is that the fuse is blow. So I put a bit of wire across to jump the fuse, and lo-and-behold the power started working again - however now it doesn't output any video or audio.
If I plug a game in and turn it on, the RF OUT simply outputs some lines of black and white (like static, but ordered into horisontal stripes(and yes, it is tuned in right!
)). When I try the same for the MULTI OUT it simply makes the screen flicker for a second, but nothing more. As said before, I get no audio output. The only sign of life in my poor little SNES is the red LED.I've no idea what the problem is - the cart slot is clean, the game I was testing it with is clean (and I tried other games as well). The only thing I can think of is that the 7805 got real hot at one point, maybe that damaged it somehow?
Anyone had this problem before/ know the solution? If it helps at all, my SNES is PAL, and it's the one with the smaller motherboard.
