The Ultimate Cartridge Connector!!

Post by WhatULive4 »

I wish I knew what it was... I know there are many different options out there. Obviously the original NES is no good. Even the replacement ones I hear wear out eventually. I heard possibly the Game Genie connector? Maybe the NES toploader style? Floppy IDE connector like ben, I dunno. Or should I just bend the tabs and be happy with that?

Basically, I want a cartridge slot that no matter how many times it is used, or if someone accidentally bumps the console it will remain connected.

Also, it does not need to fit in the original NES console. It will be used for a project. Preferably it can't be too bulky either.

There are replacement connectors on ebay and other sites which have stronger pins made of the yellow/goldish metal (same stuff used for other high quality video cable-connectors) I think those are probably be best because the metal is really strong and won't budge easy.

Next to that, some clones have good connectors..

I am interested in suggestions from other people as I need a durable solution for my next system aswell..
