I thought I would install the new firefox on my computer. (Red Hat 9) and i did this
# tar xzf firefox-??????????.tgz
Lines of code
#cd firefox-??????????
#./configure
NO SUCH FILE OR FOLDER
WTF?

Hmm... Maybe do a ls to figure out what files are where... Are you sure you didnt go into a folder of a previous firefox installation?
Also try this code:
tar -xzvf firefox-1.0.installer.tar.gz
cd firefox-installer
./firefox-installer

Also are you root? Sometimes this stuff wont work if you arnt root.

MUCH better. You can even use tabs in it.
That means have a bunch of websites in one window so they don't cram your taskbar full.
I used IE for 5 years before using FireFox, and once I installed Firefox, I rarely used IE. The only time I use IE is for a few sites with advanced Flash abilities and to view sites that won't work with anything else. I use Firefox literally over 99% of the time, though.
