Apology to several members, my sister hi-jacked my account.

Post by palmertech »

Hey everybody! I was away for the past few days in the family vacation home with no internet with family celebrating Easter. I was going to come home today, but ended up coming back early, yesterday. When i checked the forums, there was a new topic...Chrono Trigger on PS3! YESSS! Then i looked at who started it...ME!?! Apparently, while my sister was at her friends house for Easter, they thought it would be funny to make fun of all the people on the "Nerd Forums", as they call them. Every single post made by this account in the past few days was not by me. Though they deleted most of the outgoing PMs, I gather that they sent a lot of PMs giving info about CR (that info, true or not, is NOT up for discussion, i would love to talk about it, but i cannot), others that claimed i was gay, and a lot sent to random people insulting them, saying they were losers, had no lives, ect. I apologize for all the trouble they have caused, and I will not let this happen again. I told her either I tell mom, or she just promises never to do this again. She promised, and I somewhat believe her. So...I am sorry this happened, here are all the victims that i know of. I would appreciate anybody else who received insulting PMs to post here. :)

Victims:
Hot Dog Cart
Dragonball#### (sorry, I forget the exact number, and these forums are too slow right now to check)
Electric Rain
Turbo Tax 1.0

A few others that i forget... Even if you are on the list, can you post so I know you got my apology? Thank you for understanding. And a question...How many of you guys have had something similar happen to you? Is my sister extra-evil, or are they all this way?

set a password in your bios.

Oh well, at least I'm not missing out on a PS3 Chrono Trigger

edit: Wait, if she considers this a nerd site, and doesn't read it, how does she know about the poisoned rice and dusty atari thing? And more importantly, how does she know we'd like chrono trigger?

Well either something is wrong with that story, or your sister is a total hypocrite

Didn't PeglegJimmy have like 100 "SCREW YOU" threads posted under his account once a bit back?

Ah, I remember the evils of siblings on computers. I moved out. The problem cleared right up. Now, it's just me, the dog, and the rats. Occasionally, my friend drops her kids off for a few hours, and they run amok. Fortunately, the youngest is nine, and they all know that if they do crap like that, I'll just take all the powercords with me when I have to leave.

And that's why the repository of my passwords are in my brain. And I clear private data every day on firefox, lock my computer if going away EVEN if I just need to go for 30 seconds and use routers to prevent my family members from going into places I don't want them to!

Hooray, I'm not the only one! :D I keep all my passwords in my head, but...I use the same username and password for everything! My paypal has a really good password, though, as do all my other financial accounts. How did my sister know about rice, ataris, and Chrono Trigger? Well, she knows that Chrono Trigger is my favorite game. Therefore, she reasoned...People that I talks to also be into it! Knowledge of rice and ataris came from her accomplice, the older friend she was with. She is really into star wars and videogames, and I got her reading this site a while back. She is really nice, one of the few girls i would hang out with. I often ask my sister why she thinks I am lame for liking star wars and video games, but her friend remains cool. Her answer is always that girls can't be lame for stuff like that, only boys... :? Oh well. I think it is possible that they planned on waiting till april fools to finish, as i was supposed to come back later today. But when they found out I was coming early, they just did as much damage as they could... Thank you for understanding, guys, on some forums they would have banned me on the spot!

If you beat the crap out of her, you'll never have to worry about this kind of thing ever again!

That makes no sense. How did she know your password then? Maybe you should change it, at least for important stuff. I usually use the "remember me" option on most sites on home computers, because my siblings lack the motive (aka: they don't want to die) and/or smarts to do anything damaging.

The only thing I have to worry about is leaving my IM accounts logged on, my parents will sometimes talk to my friends if I leave the computer, especially if they know I'm having a conversation with someone (I doubt they'd talk to anyone here, only my real life friends that they know).

Either all this is true... OR you actually do know something and could get sued by SONY for revealing information before a release date....

I don't buy it. People have made multiple accounts for the sake of drama before. I don't see how this is any different.

Ok, I like benheck and all, but people post random stuff here all the time. Sony isn't lurking in the shadows. No one on this site is being shadowed by a major corporation just waiting for him/her to slip up. [/reality_check]
