I've been working on it for the past few days, so i'll go ahead and post what I have done:
Gutted the NES console of all the goods, including the mobo, 72pin, cartridge holder, buttons/controller ports.
Found 2 old computer cases I got for free, figured i'd slice em up and glue together to make the case...
Cut out all 6 sides-- which took FOREVER.
Glued on the back/left/right side, so now i only have the top to glue down-- but I have 2 missing components! A screen and the battery pack. So once it was all glued I ran down to radioshack and picked up a 9.6V 1600mAh RC car battery and a repair kit, took my old power supply to a NES that failed and used that, used the repair kit to connect the wires (If anyone needs any help, green = Positive, the surrounding wire is negative), then charged the battery--- 8 hrs later I tested-- It works! Yay! Now I just need the screen.
...and so here is where I am...
I still am going to have to pick up another one of those battery packs due to I have no idea how to power 2 things with 1 battery without my paps thinking it will explode-- hehe... So yeah.
I already have a LCD in mind-- specifically a 3rd party PSone screen, it has the RCA cable input in the back so I can just use the connectors on the right of the NES.
Ooh, I forgot I also ocut holes in the top/front to make the little flap-- and used some bamboo/tape/hot glue to get it to flap, and I disabled the lockout chip ^_^
So if anyone wants to donate, i'd appreciate it!
I'll submit pics soon, I don't own a workign camera atm
