Anyone ever see a pocket station?

Post by xxxeagle »

Well here it is. The Psp is not really the playstations first portable. The pocketstation is I remember reading about this in a gamepro magazine a few years ago and forgot what it was called. Its kind of like a VMU. I remember it was supposed to come out in the us but never did I wonder why? this thing seems pretty cool but Im not sure about how many games are compatable with it. I was thinking about starting a ebay account to buy it but i probably will have no use for it since i do not have a japenese ps1 or a modchip and probably wouldn't be able to get any games for it. Tell me what you think about it.

I was looking into it and it only works for like two games and not even very well. Sony seems to like to copy other companies stuff

Yes, they play pool in Japan.
No, the PocketStation isn't worth buying. They're all over in Japan, for way too much than they're worth. They're exactly like the VMU of the Dreamcast (which came out later and is much better) with less support. It's fun for all of 3 seconds.

SgtBowhack speaks the truth! If you dont sin (buying the pocketstation) then you have nothing to repent for (your lost money)!
Listen to the man of reason, and dont bother. Piece of crap.
When in Japan with access to just about every system ever made and those that have yet to see international soil, gather your forces, and make the cool ones your own.

Those of us who have FFVIII for PC have a subprogram which has the Chocobo Program. It tuly DOES suck, and the resolution is less than the VMU!
Warranty-Voiding fun!

It's a piece of junk. It's basically a PS1 memory card with (crappy)games you can play on it.

I remember looking all over for it when it came out so I could buy it. I am SO glad I didn't find it. From what I can tell it has almost no games for it.
