That's some good ol' VB6 for y'all!

(My deepest apologies to Bic and the rest of you for starting a new topic. If I'm spamming way too much, ban me for a day or two, seriously, I don't mind.)

Anyways, this topic is not really for me. You see, Samus (Z9MG A GURLONBENHECK@1!) has, to my understanding, wanted to live in Canada for quite a while now. Her parents encourage it, and she says she really wants to, yet she hasn't acted on it at all. Talking to her over the last couple days, I think I've given her even more reasons to head on to the better side of the border.

So, Sam, this is a kick to get you going. (I'm aware your name ain't Sam, but it is now!)

P.S. - Can you find that link of all the Uni's with your course again?

Her location is limited by her current field of studies. Basically her choices are Montrealish, Torontoish, or BCish.

So, fellow Canadians, let's give her all the reasons we can think of to get her to move here. (You yankees can join in the fun too, hold your horses). She learned today from me aboot free health care, so don't leave anything we take for granted out.

Now, you Americans, do the opposite. Give reasons why she should stay on your side of the border.

I'm an American, but I live on the border. I would so recommend going to Canada, especially for Uni. Heck, I graduated from a Canadian University! Admittedly, only three or four of my fellow students knew I was American. There was a lot of anti-American attitude on campus at the time, so I just shut my mouth.

And besides, does anyone need more of a reason than Tim Horton's? Beef Stew in a breadbowl with an Everything Bagel. Perfect meal!

I'd rather pay out the ass for decent, timely healthcare rather than not pay anything for less-than-stellar healthcare.

I'd like to visit Canada sometime. Call me stupid but I still consider the USA the best damn country on the planet.

i would rather pay nothing for stellar timely healthcare but im an idealist so it doesnt matter lol. i would certianly like to go to canada sometime but its not in my budget or schedual for probably at least a year

Wait Tim Horton's the place where you get Doughnuts and other breakfast stuff like that?

If so, I have heard of it, we have one just down the street, and I live in the U.S.A, so I am sure Tim Horton's all over the U.S.A.

Personally, Tim Horton's Doughnuts suck bawls.

Actually some parts of Canada are more temperate than parts of the US (near the coasts mainly). But I agree in perpetuating the incorrect stereotype that it's always freaking cold in Canada.

Tim Hortons is indeed a donut chain. I've never seen one, but I've heard Canadians swear by it. Personally, while I enjoy the occasional donut, I don't see how one can be that much better than a Dunkin' Donut or a normal bakery donut.

Please, Americans, direct your attention to the below, and note to population density where it's significantly colder than the states, as well as the population density of southern Ontario, where a good chunk of the Canadian population resides.

What's this? 1 person per square mile? Why, that's not the majority of our population at all! You're making my polar bear sad. He just ran off with the sled dogs into my igloo. Way to go, it's gonna take quite a bit of pancakes and bacon to lure him out again.

uh.. why did you post this without my permission? ah screw it, yea i wanna go to canada. i wanna live in canada when i'm "grown up". but my parents don't exactly encourage me going to canada as much as europe. (grandma's from belgium, etc etc.)

Pfft, loosen up. You're already in res, if you wanna live in Canada, now's your chance to do so for the next 2-4 years, with nothing to lose. You'll end up just as well off as if you had not done it, only then you won't know what it's like before you come and decide to live here forever.

Besides, talking about it isn't going to get you very far. Now, a DISCUSSION...
