A Wiily Great Fundraiser

As of now, the tennis team at our school has practices around 3:30 and 4:00 in the morning at the local fitness center. So what the team has done is started a fund raiser to be able to build four new tennis courts at our school that will also be open to the public.
They organized a Wii Tennis Tournament to raise money, and it was AWESOME!!! It was a 128 person double elimination. We had five Wii's and projectors going, so everything went very smoothly. The "local" news stations actually came and did a segment on it (I say "local" because they are about 40 miles away). The linky is here. They raised about $1000 in the three hour event.

You can see me in the background about 0:17 in counting on my fingers (for some reason...)

I hope the title didn't hurt as much to read it than it did to type it.

No, I was out the game before quarter finals (eighth finals?) The 1-4th place finishers got to pick prizes from a table. I did win a personal pan pizza as a door prize. They also were selling 5 dollar raffle tickets for a Wii.

Wow, great idea! I should try that for my tennis team, we're in the need of some new equipment ourselves.
