Polarity is not right. Positive always goes to negative, negative to positive. The charging circuit looks fine. Edit: Whoa, never mind, chrging circuit is wrong too.

I'm trying to understand the bottom part of your picture - is that the battery, screen, and system?

Well, its more like just 'devices', they could be anything. I just need to know the order of how to connect stuff in a series and how to add in a charging circuit

I usually don't wire the screen and system in series with the battery. For example, with an SNES and a PSOne screen powered by a 7.4v battery, I would wire the positive side of the battery directly to the power input for the screen and would separately wire the positive side of the battery to a 7805 linear regulator (to get 5v) and connect that to the SNES. I guess you could say it's in parallel. However, if you use a PSOne screen it has a 7805 on it and you could just get the necessary power off of that.

And yes, you have the charge jack correct in your picture. I believe palmertech is mistaken, unless he's referring to wiring batteries in series. Do you have a copy of Ben's book? If so, it details how to do this sort of thing. And if not, get it because it covers a lot more than just making specific portables.

Edit: One more thing. This excerpt should help. I know you aren't making an SNES portable, but it should help you get the idea. Also, don't forget to connect ground for your battery, screen, and system.
