How to use a transistor as a switch in a turbo controller?
First off, know that i do have a decent amount on electrical components. I am making a turbo fire controller, and reading some stuff online, i found you could use an astable vibrator, often used to flash leds. However, most of them require 4v or higher, which is too high for what i need. I figured i could use a flashing light circuit from a cracked toy phaser, as it will run on the lower voltage i have (2v). It puts out a 1.94v pulse several times per second from the led terminals. I have used only relays in circuits like this before, as they required more voltage. How can i use a transistor to allow current to flow through the two switch contacts on the controller only when the voltage from the led circuit is on? Any help is very much appreciated. 
It seems like there might be a simple way to do this...but I don't have a clear picture of what you actually want your signals to do.
So when you push a button on the controller, you want it to always be a turbo button? Or do you want to be able to switch it off?
I'm assuming the button forms a pull-down circuit that's connected to the pin of an IC in the controller, right? And basically, instead of this being just a pull-down you want the pin of the IC to oscillate when you push the button to mimic the button being pushed very quickly?

Yay! I figured it out on my own yesterday, i hooked up the led terminals the the collector and base, and the ic trace and ground on the controller to the base and emmiter. I am using a switch to activate the led circuit, which in turn triggers the turbo fire. Note that i am new to transistors, so i may be misremembering th e, c,b pins i connected to. I was going off a scematic for a robotic servo trigger circuit, but i was able to replace most of it with the led flashing circuit.
I will post a tut soon. Man, goldeneye 64 rocks with turbo on the silenced pp7! 
Well I have no idea what you're trying to exlpain without a schematic, but glad it works!
If you ever need an oscillator that's low voltage again, check out

you can find a low voltage op-amp or comparator pretty easily, and it makes nice square waves
