'S' controller in360 Controller Casing (1% planning done)

Post by 5M05H13 »

hey everyone!

ok here it goes. i havent been able to get a xbox 360 yet (LAME!) but i have played them and know that i love the feel of the xbox 360 controller over ther xbox s type controller.

so here is my idea. i want to buy a xbox 360 wired controller. open it up. take the guts out. then open up my xbox controller. desolder the expansion ports. wire up sum LED's for the ring of light on the 360 controller, which would be powered from the expansion port power slots on the xbox controller. rewire the white and black button on the xbox controller to L1/R1 or the top non trigger buttons on the 360 controller. then close it all up. plus into my xbox and play some original xbox games in comfort.

when this project gets fully underway i will be posting pics

what do you guys think? is it possible?

as this is my first thread please let me know if i have posted in the wrong area

Dont bother. Because the 360 controller has different spacing, you will have to reposition and rewire every button. If you are gonna do something like that, you should make and sell a ps360 controller. The proceeds would easily buy you a 360. :) To answer your question: possible, but not worth it.
