Keyboard mod question

Howdy people,

I've got a small problem that I'm hoping someone on here can answer.
I've got a usb keyboard for a project but I need to know if its possible to convert the usb end to run from a keyboard input/socket?

I'm really don't want to go stripping down wires unless its possible.

You mean convert the USB to Keyboard input?

Thats easy. Buy a $3 adapter. That changes USB to Keyboard Serial. (Make sure its not Mouse Serial. It HAS to be keyboard serial)

I'd had a quick look around my local electronics store and didn't see a converter of any kind so i'll check a few different places and see what I can find.
