If we do go ahead with one, I'd move to make two immediate stickies: One as a place where modders can post their work, skillz, etc. and whore themselves out to potential clients, and another for reps, like our Trading Post sticky. What say you guys?
How about a MOD REQUEST forum?

Sounds like a pretty good idea, actually. I'm tired of deleting n00b threads, so at least this way I can just let 'em rot in one area. Bic's right, though; it'd be a moderation chore, that's for sure. I guess that's our job, though, right?

Here's my take for this:
1. When posting a new topic, there are 5 drop down boxes. They are labeled "SYSTEM", "PROFILE," "SCREEN," "BATTERY," "EXTRAS."
2. In the SYSTEM menu, you can pick a system like NES, PS1, XB360, PS2, SuperJoy NOAC, etc.
3. In the PROFILE menu, you can pick if it's a hand-held, a laptop or luggable or whatever.
4. The SCREEN can tell how large (or small) the screen you want.
5. BATTERY, pretty obvious.
6. EXTRAS can include disabling lockout chip for the NES, force feedback, PSP-style analogs, custom decals, etc.
Note that the boxes are dynamic. Meaning if I select XB 360 in the SYSTEM, it will "lock" the BATTERY to none, SCREEN to a minimum of 14.1 inches, and PROFILE to laptop. This way I can't order an Xbox 360 handheld, or any other project that is virtually impossible.
And if it is possible, a panel at one side calculates the price. And a picture upload option too.

Don'tcha just love how every thread about a forum update ends up becoming a thread about protitution?
I can't miss this oppoturnity to tell everyone how much I hate phpBB either, I really do. did you know that in some phpBB 2 version you were able to log into any account by just using a certain pair of cookies. ANY account.
Having some security issues is one thing, but not checking the copulate password that is saved in the autologin cookies, now that's just intentionally sucking.
But enough about that, I'm pretty sure that phpBB has a "mod approval required" option when creating forums. or not.
If it does, that'd be pretty much the solution.
If not, then there's always that PE moderation thing, which would solve the problem, pretty much.
We could just make a list of minimum prices for all portables, and sticky that, I guess
