So, is anyone else going to Gamestop for the Midnight tournament?

a few friends and I wanted to, but the rules are kinda lame
-only allowed to used nunchuk and wiimote controls
-one minute timed with items
- only starting roster (not a huge problem for me but my one friend is really only good with toon link)

actually I will still probably go just so I get a chance to play some different people

at least DDD is on the starting roster

DEFINITELY going! Having some friends over, going as a convoy, and then playing all night. We should get some games running here when we all get it!

I still haven't decided who to main with yet. I'm a total Kirby whore, despite him sucking in Melee so much. I hear he's better this time around, but still not that N64-era God Tier I was hoping. Metaknight is supposed to be great too, though, and handle a lot like Kirby. It'll be interesting to see which one I like!

Who are you guys maining as this time around?

kirby is pretty good actually (as far as I can tell), has a good final smash too

he seems more like 64 kirby but still kinda weird like melee copulate up kirby

Any experience with Metaknight as of yet? How do you like him?

metaknight has almost no landing lag for any aerials except his dair(doesnt spike). but its pretty easy to rack up lots of damage with him and keep them off the edge. his down smash comes out really quick and is a real good finisher too.

his b moves are pretty good also
up b can be a decent finisher if used close enough
b can get decent damage
and side b is kinda annoying

real good for giving damage and hard to hit him out of though
down b is meh

Yeah I was thinking of going too, but the rules turned me off, eff it if I can't use my Wavebird.

And 1 min rounds, what are they smoking, if they want them short, they should have put it at least 2 or 3 min rounds "Woo I won by 1 kill11!!!!11111!!1!!!! that make a total of 1 kill!!! I am so AWSOME!!!111!!1111!"

I will be getting it on release day, screw the midnight release.

I'm not going. YET, Im getting my copy at a local game store at 12:01 AM. (Maybe even earlier. Like 11:30 PM if I play my cards right. xD).

I've already fully prepaid it. Heck, I over payed by $11.50, I think. So there giving me a partial refund. Hello ENERGY DRINKS.

I'm not going to be able to got to gamestops Midnight tournament. I'm going to d in Cincinnati Ohio doing some indoor rockclimbing with boyscouts duing that time

I should be on my way to Ohio right now. But the trip got postponed. Still can't go to the midnight tourney because of the game stop I'm going to is not opening till morning

. And also we got lots of snow down here
