Info Tech assignment (About ringtones)

Well I know you guys know a lot more about this than I do since I have never downloaded any ringtones. But this is a small assaignment in my IT class which I thought was a bonus assignment and didn't need to be done, but I was wrong.

My IT teacher wants to download "Take me out to the ball game" for free, and he is too cheap to go out and buy the cable for his phone.

I was wanting to know a way where he won't get wound up into a stupid subscription with a monthly fee, and won't need a cable, I'm not 100% if he has Bluetooth on his phone, but I did see him walking around with a wireless headset for it, and he does have a Bluetooth adaptor hooked up to his computer (For one of those Smartboards). (I didn't know Linksys made Bluetooth adaptors.)

And please lets not get into the do it yourself crap, I don't feel like googling Free ring tones and get like 2 billion search results and have to wade though it all.

Get the mp3 of the song, use a program like audacity to crop it to the part you want, and should be able to just connect the phone to a PC via bluetooth and just transfer the file straight to the phone. What kind of phone is it?

Aren't ringtones basically MIDI files? As for getting it onto the phone, if your teacher can check their email on it, can they email it to themselves?

Personally I despise most cell phone functions; they're pointless money sinks. (Text messaging, anyone?) It's a freaking phone! You use it to call people! (My ringtone is just a sound clip of a regular office phone ringing that came preloaded on the phone when I got it.)

Oldskool phone tones are basically midis, but newer phones use mp3s, wavs, as well as midis. Most phones now a days (except really cheap ones) support mp3s and come preloaded with at least a few mp3 clips (not actual songs, just stock mp3 music).
