Now Blu-Ray has to overcome DVD, and that will take a long time. I won`t expect that for at least 2 years.

Personally I wanted HD-DVD to win over Blu-ray just because for some reason I just don`t like the Idea of Sony controlling what in a few years will be the next main stream media.

Today Gamestop said from today on, they will not accept any HD-DVD trade-ins, they won`t even accept trade-ins on the HD-DVD attachment for the 360 either.

ewwwww VHS, I can`t stand watching movies on VHS anymore, but I still use my VCR to record shows like Mythbusters.

“I reject your reality and substitute my own.”

My favorite quote EVER.

I really need to get a DVD recorder, but I hear that the low end ones have audio tracking probs.

I remember precicting back in like 2001 that eventually we will be recording to DVDs just like using VHS tapes.

Same for Wi-Fi, back in 1999-2000 for summer school I had to write about a new invention or somthing, and I wrote about wireless internet, my teacher thought I was crazy to think we would ever have wireless internet :P though I did mention being able to use it in your car as part of it, but don`t some truckers have Wi-fi built into their trucks? I swear I saw that somewhere.

Why not a DVR? You can probably build a cheap one with an older PC, a TV tuner card, and either Windows and WinMyth or Linux and MythTV.
Would a 500mhz P3 work?

And does it need to be connected to the internet?

I don't want to make an "I'm leaving" thread, but I've sort of lost interest in this board. So if you notice that I'm gone, that's why.

At least it didn't do quite as bad as Peter Weller in the opening scene of that movie.

Speaking of Peter Weller, has anyone every caught him on the History Channel as an expert on the Roman Empire? How random.

I still am in denial about Blu-ray winning

Blu-ray hasn't won yet, its just that HD-DVD lost.
Things I need to purchase for my NES Laptop:
1X PSone screen
6X 1.2v 3500mAh sub-C's
1X 1/8'' to RCA stereo Adapater
1X Radioshack repair kit

..yeaaaaah...
