I highly, HIGHLy doubt that this is possible, but I really need to know.

A few months ago me and some buddies made a few films about monsters and that kind of stuff. They were all saved on my computer, but I didn't know how to edit, so I burned them for a team of other friends that would edit them together, and put some cool effects in. I deleted them off of my computer after that.

Well, I didn't think about it, and now I need to get accepted into mass media, and I need a video with good effects for it, and those Bums I call my best friends just dropped it and never edited it and none of them can seem to find the disk or the files on there computer.

Is there any way I can dig these up? Or am I screwed?

I thought that, but wanted to make sure.

Man, that makes me mad. Not only did I spend the time and effort making this, but filming is something I 'd like to do for the rest of my life. I love filming, and it would be a "lifetime achievement" for me to become a famous director. And I might be permanently screwed because of a few R-tards.

I know, that sounds corny.

Unless you never again used the hard drive that the videos were saved in, I doubt you will be able to recover the files. You may be able to recover some if you did not use the files much. After you delete them, they are still in the hard drive and can be restored with special programs, but if you used the drive after you deleted them, chances are that something else was written over the deleted videos.

I have used a program called Handy Recovery before. I accidentally deleted my 8GB (at the time) MP3 collection and I was able to recover most, if not all, of the files. It is recommended that you have a separate drive to restore the files to so that you wont overwrite files you are trying to restore with restored files.

stfu sky, i SWEAR by getdataback for fat and ntfs. you have to get the registered version for it to do anything useful but it DOES work, takes forever to salvage crap over usb but i have rescued two totally f**ked harddrives using that program, one had a SMARTstart error and wouldnt boot or load or be recognized by windows properly 99% of the time, saved basically EVERYTHING off that drive. also had a harddrive that crashed, click of death, stuck it in the freezer, thawed it out and got it working long enough to save everything off of it too.
