xbox top heatsheild

Post by Joes2Silly »

Okay yall, Im starting to mod a xbox my friend sold me awhile back. I am planning on putting a DuoX2 modchip in it from a online store, but until then I decided to do some stuff that doesn't require a lot of work. I decided that I wanted to make my jewl clear, but I thought I might screw up the heat sheild
on the top of the xbox. Before I tear into it I wanted to ask, is this heat shield is even useful/needed for use?

the shield is not needed, most people remove it anyways in both the xbox and 360

Being helpful...

When you clear the jewel start with really high grit sandpaper and come down, then when your done, wash it with toothpaste as it will minimize any cloud effects on the jewel.

As he said, the metal shielding is completely unneeded, its been shown to do just about nothing...
