Windows Vista SP1

Hey guys. Is SP1 for vista FREE? Or do I have to buy it? It'd really make me mad if I had to buy it, considering I just bought vista like 1 month ago.

Nope, its free with it. I think somewhere in the terms of service it says that any updates patches etc. are available to you after you've purchased the operating system. (or something like that)

God, after all the crap Vista has put its users through, it better be free. If not, I'll sure as hell make it free!

I think they only released it to OEMs this month, end users have to wait until March. (The only version you can get at the moment, at least as far as I know, is the beta.)

I read that theres no improvements except files copy 9% faster, and more divers dont work now.

IMHO, dont bother pirating it.

SP1 was RTM. It is also free, so I don't see how getting the RTM is illegal at all.
