Ok, so I am one of those damn canucks (Canadian) and up here we has not so good radio shacks, oh wait it is actually "The Source CC". anyway in our crappy Radio Shacks we do not have desoldering iron tips!! so that means whenever I ruin a tip I have to buy an entire new iron!! This is certainly annoying. oh, and I have tried ebay, but it is in inconsistent. so my question is; where can I find some tips?
another thing is, I got a kick "bottom?" hakko 936, it is the best thing ever, anyway. My other question is; is there an attachment that acts the same way as these current (radioshack) irons?
So, in review these are the questions:
1. where can I find some tips?
2. is there an attachment that acts the same way as these current (radioshack) irons?
Well I hope this is the right Index

Get one of these. I bought the same thing from Radio Shack and it works great. It's basically the bulb part of the desoldering iron with a plastic tip on the end. (The tip doesn't melt, even when it's pressed against my 60w Weller.) It will make an indispensable addition to your box-o'-soldering-stuff.
Pick up some desoldering braid and you'll be in business. (Suction devices don't work well on small solder puddles, braid does.)
Radio Shack sells <a href="http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... eplacement tips for their desoldering iron (which, in all likelihood, is the same as yours). However you might as well buy a dozen at once because it's silly to pay international shipping for a $2 part. (Although the exchange rate is in your favor.)
