best wireless controller?

To save some controller cord clutter, I'm thinking about getting a wireless PS2 controller. Here's what I'm looking for (in order of priority):

#1 good, reliable quality, if its going to break on me then its worthless, not that I abuse anything, but I don't want a fragile POS.

#2 long battery life, I don't need rumble, I just want batteries to last a LONG time

#3 a good D-Pad, preferably a circular pad with or without a raised "cross" on it. Ideally one like the original 6-button Genesis controller, that is my favorite D-Pad of all time.

#4 joysticks with a good range of motion, not ones that are too tight (like N64)

#5 good value. I'd rather pay $30 than $50 if I'm only missing out on one unnecessary feature (rumble) or that there is a negligible difference in quality or function.

With that in mind, list up whatever wireless PS2 controllers you have had experience with and would recommend or would advise to stay away from. I've heard good things about the Logitech controllers, but whatever you have used and works well, let me know.

I've heard good things about Logitech's controllers, and I've never had one of their computer mice fail on me. And, despite what people say, I have never had a problem with Mad Katz equipment.

I have a PS2 wireless Logitech controller. It is amazing. It beats the crap out of the Dual Shock design (which i just can't stand).

is it the action or the precision? I'm considering the precision since its advertised to have a battery life of up to 300 hours vs. the 50 hour of the action controller .

Also, I remembered my USB gamepad I use for emulation is the Logitech precision USB (like a PSone controller sans joysticks) and I love the d-pad and it has worked beautifully. Also, my cousin and his friend both have Logitech original XBOX controllers (more similar to the action) and as far as I know have worked great, and I LOVE the feel. So, I guess I'll go with that, just wanted to see if there was maybe an obscure brand that had good quality and a GREAT price or something.

Mine's an action. It was $40 at Target about a year ago. I haven't really had an issue with battery life; it's lasted a pretty long time.

well, I went ahead and bought the precision. They had it for $16 shipped on eBay for a "Refurbished" one so I couldn't pass that up (less than half the price of a regular new one). Hopefully it will work fine, I see no reason it wouldn't.
