What OS Skining or Shelling program do you use?

I'm curious if any of you use a OS Skinning program, OS Shelling program. Or do you use your OS's default.

Me, I use Aston Shell. Aston Shell is a Windows Shell program. I got aston from Giveaway of the Day. I've been using aston for about 8 months. And I can't see how I lived with out it. It has slide out menus on each side of the screen. And there are many themes people have made for aston for free. Here's a screenshot of Aston's default theme:



And here are some themes I downloaded:

- NES theme
- Wii Theme
- Mafia Theme
- Mac Theme
- Tron Theme with Side menu out
- Retro Windows Theme

And My Personal fav, Vista Theme

right now im using that windows hack that allows you to use themes, but windows recognizes it as a windows theme. Im going to try aston as that seems kickass.

Using the uxtheme patch with Luna Element Black.

My Mac has the default theme but I'm thinking about using ShapeShifter to change the theme to a darker one.

Windows Classic mode FTW. It's fast, works on everything, and can be completely unobtrusive or extremely in-your-face depending on how you set it. I don't know, I just don't like it when the title bar and other functional parts of windows take up tons of screen real estate.

I tried a couple skinning programs on a temporary install after my XP class was done, and they seemed really clunky. (I think one was the StarDock one, the other was that one you mentioned.)

XP Classic mode on XP (desktop), and standard GNOME on ubuntu (lifebook). I don't care how flashy my interface is, I just want it to work.

Did some customization on my iBook. Clear dock, removed shadows. Runs like a champ on this old 500 MHz G3 iBook.

How is Xfce? I'm considering trying it out on my Lifebook.

I've got an OSX type theme going on Gnome, but basically icons as I changed everything else. Not a fan of Mac but the icons are nice.

I'd think XFCE would be freakin' brilliant if they'd (or ANYBODY) would fix the menu editor. GNOME has one, KDE has one, it could be easy enough to input and make (but I don't know how ) ... But other than that I'd use XFCE.

I'm using GNOME as of right now with Debian, until I feel like switching to KDE. From what I know KDE is really customizable and just does what I want, but for now GNOME is for an app I'm doing for class (it refuses to work under KDE)...

I haven't used it very much, but if you like Gnome, you'll like it.

I forgot to say that Aston Shell uses less Ram than the Shell Windows uses. The site says that and I have check it out for my self too. (The shell that windows uses is called Explorer.) So Aston not only looks nice, it makes my PC faster.

I use classic because all that big colorful ram-eating stuff is ugly and I like computer interfaces to be as simple as possible. I like my eye candy on cars and girls, not my desktop.
