Bacteria: Shut up about my cases! :P

I can laugh at my own failures, but I always start with a good nice, bondoed case, and end up screwing up by the end. On this one: my batteries are externally hot glued to the back. But my guts are probably way more funtional than yours!(Maybe, but probably)

Okay! We get it! I suck at making cases! When I get the cash to make a good case, then, I will! I'll use acrylic, too!

Just waiting on my screen.

SS - you're right of course, we shouldn't keep mentioning about your cases. Sorry, I am sure your next one will be a blinder.

There, nothing more said about it.

Nor again (phew)! Look, I didn't even use my lovely Image smiley either!! Image

Just kidding mate (I am in a "funny" mood at the moment).

Yes, perspex is good, and cheap; a whole case could be made for about $5 from two pieces of 297x210mm pieces. You can use any old flat, strong and rigid plastic lying about at home spare, so maybe even for free.

*giggles* I know what you mean!

Yeah, I'll probably use perspex for my 5th.

I just dont feel like spending 3+ weeks planning my cases. I usually build my case around my guts, not the other way around. MMaybe when I feel like it I will spend that kind of time.

Finished!

Only problem: I need a new joystick. The old one broke. Any pots joystick should do, but does anyone have one that looks like this:

[5 | 0]
[X | X|
| | |

The X's aren't there on the pot, there should be nothing there.
My dad took it from me after I finished it and tested/played with it for an hour. He's still mad at me for my grades(All my grades went up, but they weren't high enough for him...:P) So, I'll get pics when I get it back, maybe sometime before FEB 20.

Specs:
3 5mm(yes, 5mm)led modded PSOne screen
5000mah Ni-mh 7.2v externally mounted battery(ala 1st portable)
Pth08080 3.3v DC-DC converter(fixes all my previuos portables problems.
Super pad controller(except GC joystick mod does not work...)
Headphone jack(thanks to Life of Brian's topic)
AV out/in jack(headphone jack with Left audio in and composite video)
Rewired cartridge slot (with metal supports to hold cartidge in place)
12v original n64 power adapter port(uses pth to get 3.3v)
Internal/external controller switch
Uses my excellent wiring diagram(never worry about wrong voltage going somewhere it shouldn't, will post later)
Charger port
Screen push click button switch(ala 2nd portable)
Expansion pack
Metaly case holdy together thingys(ala 3rd portable)
Franken case A, B, C-pad plastic (nice and smooth)
Mounted Breadboard Tact D-pad and start button
Momentary Push button switch Shoulder buttons
Switch for L/Z
Triforce jewel(It had to go somewhere)
Self drilled(oh boy) speaker holes with mounted speakers

This will keep you wondering.

And yes, I deem it semi ugly.
