okay I was taking my n64 apart (routine procedure) ,,, I still use the melted pen technique, i got most of the screws out and then the pen rounded, no big deal i just got a new one and started melting it, i hit one of the last screws and the melted bit got stuck!!
SO basicaly im stitting with half screwless n64 and one screw hole with A LOT of plastic inside it o_O...... has this happened to anyone and is there a way to fix it? im sceptical of jsut cutting the screws out and I've just bought a nintendo screwdriver to stop future mistakes ... but i need to get the plastic out .....HELP!! =[
Someone please help me!! =[

There is a lot of space between the case and the mobo, I suggest dremelling a hole, carefully and close to the surface of the case, to remove; when you see the space you have to play with, remove more until you can see the offending screw posts remaining. This should allow you to remove the case and just have the posts and screws remaining. You could then remove the plastic casing from the screws and make two slots alongside the screw with the melted plastic, and allow you to use a screwdriver to remove the screws. Job done. If you can't remove the screws with the screwdriver, touch the screw with your soldering iron to melt some of the plastic, then try to yank it out. That should definitely work!

Negative_Creep - yes he is, I think he came over to BenHeck after seeing my work.
Talking of AcidMods, they just set up a replacement to "Other stuff", called "Retro console modding" with Child Boards for : Screens, Case construction, Completed projects; after the main admin moderator on the site e-mailed me and asked if I wanted to be involved/input. I had asked for a couple of other child boards like "Project WIP" as it takes a long time to convert a WIP to finished project.
