The 25 Most Baffling Toys From Around the World

Post by nightwheel »

Well the topic name says it all. And not all of these toys are from Japan either. So here, The 25 Most Baffling Toys From Around the World

Warning, some of these toys are a bit wrong looking.

Who knows if the Namco Portable will ever become a reality? :P

Someone just threw together a list of things from the internet no doubt. Benign Girl? Yeah right.

I have nothing better to do, so I'll set you guys straight. Don't believe everything you see on the internet, a lot of it is just a load of crap and manipulated pixels.

#25: GodJesus. A quick Googling reveals that nobody knows more about this robot than the pictures. Two pictures, to be exact. ONLY two pictures of GodJesus exist on Google Image Search, no filtering (For some reason GodJesus gets filtered out). Also, every article result has those same two pictures.
Check it out (First couple pages):
GodJesus Image Search

#24: Clearly a girl doll that pees, nothing more. It does not have a dick. Can not do research on it without a name.

#23: A search on the Playmobil website, shockingly, shows no record of a Playmobil Hazmat cleanup crew. A search for cleanup also yields nothings, and a search for crew only gives me "Pirate Crew", "Cargo Crew", and "Construction Crew's Office. No hazmat anything.
I did find this: http://www.collectobil.com/catalogue/items/3180.htm
But all pictures of this are, once again, exact duplicates. It might be real, but I doubt so.

#22: I could see these being real. They're like transformers. No name to go by.

#21: It's not bondage. It's probably some Japanese cartoon or something.

#20: I would call this real. Japan is a coastal country, they're very sea-oriented people. Lots of them are fishermen no doubt.

#19: Ehhh...?...

#18: Real. If not somebody went through a lot of effort with that fad, making a cartoon and toys and all.

#17: Fake. Papo DOES sell knight figurines. However, look at the extra arm. Gold? I don't see any gold anywhere else. Now think how easy that would be to photoshop. Especially behind a large shield.

#16: Yeah. Aids. Right. It's a plush toy for toddlers, so they can work on grabbing things with one or two fingers.
They didn't even bother to source their pictures. (See this/last month's "Rebooting the AIDS Vaccine" in the magazine.)

#15: Simply a poorly thought-out idea.

#14: It's a whole hamster, not a camel's head. Look. Do camel's heads have 4 stubby legs?

#13: I can see this being real. Why not?

#12: Cute!

#11: This is getting ridiculous.

#10: Real. Cheap asian toy. Here's a snippet of an article:

I'm not the queen of etiquette or tact, but I'm pretty sure taking the piss out of cancer isn't cool. Unless something gets lost in the translation and you end up with a toy phone called, Benign Girl. This snazzy device plays music, has flashing lights and lists 'battery' and 'operated' as two separate functions. Genirus.
#9-#3: I quit.

#2: The teddy bear gun is real, but not an actual toy, it's a wedding tradition.

#1: They're just lego or megablocks. The company is French, and Cock doesn't have the same meaning over there, clearly.

That doesn't mean it's fake, though. (Not saying it isn't)

Dude, LOOK at it. It's got balls and everything

Seeing as how this isn't a humor site, I doubt it's fake.
Kurt_ wrote: #21: It's not bondage. It's probably some Japanese cartoon or something.
I think you're missing the point. It's not that it IS bondage, it's that it LOOKS like it.

again, see above

Which stops this from being funny?
Kurt_ wrote: #14: It's a whole hamster, not a camel's head. Look. Do camel's heads have 4 stubby legs?
again, not what it is, but what it looks like.
Kurt_ wrote: #13: I can see this being real. Why not?
I can't believe I'm arguing with somebody saying "Why not?" to penis golf clubs

That does not stop it from being totally AWESOME
Kurt_ wrote: #1: They're just lego or megablocks. The company is French, and Cock doesn't have the same meaning over there, clearly.
Well, duh it doesn't have the same meaning, but that's NOT THE copulate POINT.
